What you can expect
Starting from St. Peter area, where our shop is located, we’ll help you choose the best e-bike for you, including all the necessary accessories. We’ll then begin our climb along a road flanked by ancient walls and giant, shady trees, heading up to the Gianicolo hill. Here, you'll enjoy a stunning panoramic view of the city: domes, bell towers, rooftops, and terraces stretching out before you.
Descending from the Gianicolo, we’ll pass by the beautiful Fontana dell'Acqua Paola, the backdrop for the opening scene of The Great Beauty. Then, with the wind in your face, we’ll ride down into Trastevere, Rome's most picturesque neighborhood, full of ancient shops and timeless alleyways. A stop at the traditional Bar San Callisto is a must, whether for a coffee or a gelato.
Back on the bike, we’ll head to the Aventine Hill, where we’ll ride through the Rose Garden and the Orange Garden, with their vibrant colors, occasional concerts, and magnificent views of St. Peter's Basilica.
Our journey continues down to the Celio Hill, where we’ll cycle along ancient Roman streets and past some of the city's most beautiful basilicas, just steps away from the Colosseum. We'll weave through the crowds by taking the quiet streets of the Monti district (Esquiline Hill), before one final ride to greet the Quirinale, the residence of the Italian president.
We’ll then return to our shop, taking hidden and forgotten bike paths that we’re eager to share with you. Rome may not be Amsterdam, but it's making strides to modernize and become more bike-friendly.
Upon arriving at our shop, you can relax with an aperitif at Roberto's Antica Cirioleria. Enjoy a spritz with typical Italian snacks, with a special price for our cycling customers.
