Discover a sensory experience within the Culcasi Salt Pans, where the tradition of salt production meets direct contact with the natural elements of the salt pan.
The activity lasts approximately 60 minutes and takes place in a dedicated area of the salt pans. Upon arrival, participants check in at the welcome kiosk near the Salt Museum, where a staff member briefly introduces the route and describes the natural elements present: mother water, mamma caura and salt crystals.
After this short introduction, the experience continues on your own. Each participant can experience the route at their own pace, moving between the different stages and following the instructions received.
Along the route, you can:
- walk barefoot on the salt crystals, coming into direct contact with one of the most characteristic elements of the saltworks;
- come into contact, on your own, with the “mamma caura”, the natural sediment of the salt pan;
- enter the mother water tanks, water with a high salt concentration linked to the natural salt cycle;
- enjoy a recreational and naturalistic experience immersed in the landscape of the salt pans.
The water in the pools is shallow, about 20 cm. However, it is recommended to move with caution, as the activity takes place in a natural environment.
At the end of the route, a sea shower is available for rinsing, supplied with seawater. The use of soaps, shampoos, bath foam, oils, or cleansers is not permitted during the route or during the final rinse.
This activity is offered as a tourist, recreational, and nature experience within the saltworks. It does not constitute a medical, therapeutic, aesthetic, cosmetic or spa treatment.
