Leave the cultural heart of Yogyakarta behind and journey east through Java’s volcanic landscapes before continuing to Bali. This multi-day overland adventure combines the sunrise scenery of Mount Bromo, the unique volcanic landscape of Ijen Crater, and a scenic ferry crossing to Bali in one seamless journey.
Your journey begins in Yogyakarta, with transport to East Java arranged by train, van, or car depending on group size and operational conditions. Continue toward the Bromo area, where you can rest before an early start the following morning.
Day 1: Journey to Mount Bromo
Travel from Yogyakarta toward the Bromo area. Depending on your selected option and the transport arrangements, the journey may include train or road transfers. Check in to your accommodation and prepare for an early start.
Day 2: Mount Bromo Sunrise
Set off early by 4WD jeep to a sunrise viewpoint in Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park. Watch the morning light reveal the surrounding volcanoes and Sea of Sand. Continue exploring the Bromo area, including the Sea of Sand and Bromo Crater when access permits, before traveling toward Ijen for an overnight stay.
Day 3: Ijen Crater and Transfer to Bali
Depart shortly after midnight for the Ijen hike. Trek to the crater area to see its turquoise lake and distinctive volcanic scenery. Blue fire visibility is not guaranteed and depends on natural conditions and access regulations. After descending, continue to Ketapang, cross the Bali Strait by ferry, and transfer to your selected drop-off area in Bali.

The All-Inclusive option includes accommodation for 2 nights, entrance tickets to Mount Bromo and Ijen Crater, a mountaineering guide, breakfast, a 4WD jeep for the Bromo sunrise experience, and a flashlight, gas mask, and health certificate for Ijen.
The Excluding option does not include accommodation, entrance tickets, a mountaineering guide, breakfast, the Bromo 4WD jeep, or the flashlight, gas mask, and health certificate for Ijen. These services must be paid for separately during the trip.
Choose Budget accommodation for a hostel stay or Comfort accommodation for a hotel stay, depending on your selected option. Included accommodation is based on one room for two people. Solo travelers will be paired with another traveler of the same gender, while couples will share a private room. Room changes during the trip are not permitted.
