This entry-level snowshoeing tour includes a PyhäExpress chair lift ticket to the top of Pyhä Fell (weather permitting) for the best possible views across the Pyhä-Luosto National Park and beyond! Our guide will show you how to use snowshoes in a safe environment while sharing stories of the Arctic nature, the surrounding landmarks, and the old Lappish beliefs. Pyhä Fell offers many opportunities for photographing the changing landscape and the surrounding nature. The frosty snow starts to cover the trees up in the fell right when the first sub-zero temperatures arrive and the warm and moist air starts to rise from the valley to the top of the fell. Photographers are especially mesmerized by these fairytale-like snow monsters and the different shapes and sizes the snow creates around the trees. Depending on the time of year, you may also capture the polar night sunrise and sunset colors or halos around the sun on a frosty winter day.
