Leave Dresden behind for a day of cliff-top viewpoints, forest paths, and places that feel a world away from the city. Discover the natural wonders of Germany and the Czech Republic with a local guide and the comfort of an all-inclusive small-group tour.
Your adventure starts at your Dresden hotel. Settle into a modern, air-conditioned van with Wi-Fi and let us handle the details. Round-trip transportation, admission fees, a Czech à la carte lunch, and refreshments are included.
Bastei Bridge: High above the Elbe
Begin at the iconic Bastei Bridge, where stone arches connect soaring sandstone formations above the Elbe Valley. Walk across the bridge, pause at spectacular viewpoints, and watch the river wind through the landscape far below. Your guide brings the scenery to life with stories of the region.
Kamenice Gorge: A romantic journey by boat
From April through October, cross into the Czech Republic and follow the paths into Kamenice Gorge. Board a boat and glide between towering, moss-covered sandstone walls. Watch reflections ripple across the water as your boatman guides you through this secluded river passage—a peaceful, romantic highlight of the day.
A taste of Czech hospitality
Take a well-earned break at a local restaurant for a traditional Czech à la carte lunch. Choose a main course, with vegetarian options available, and enjoy an included Czech beer or soft drink. Relax, share your favorite moments, and recharge for the discoveries ahead.
Tisa Rocks: Step into Narnia
Continue to Tisa Rocks, a filming location for The Chronicles of Narnia. Follow your guide between massive sandstone towers, through narrow passages, and around hidden corners. This remarkable rock maze invites you to explore, with striking formations and unforgettable photo opportunities at every turn.
November–March: A relaxed winter escape
Discover Bastei Bridge and Tisa Rocks with shorter walks and more time to enjoy each location. Explore the rock passages, linger at the viewpoints, and soak up the winter atmosphere. With around 4 km (2.5 miles) of walking and a warm Czech lunch, this itinerary combines dramatic scenery with a relaxed day out. The gorge and boat ride are not included in the winter itinerary.
Comfort along the way
Help yourself to bottled water and energy bars in the van. Umbrellas, rain ponchos, and hiking poles are available to borrow, with traction grips available in winter. After a day of discovery, sit back and enjoy a comfortable ride back to your Dresden hotel.
