Saunas are a part of Scandinavian culture. Here in Steindalen, on an old farm, the barn was converted to live in this culture. Of course, a wood-fired sauna! Every log comes from our own forest. Felled by hand, split with an axe, and stacked to dry, it warms up extra well. A sauna also includes a relaxation area. This offers a pleasant atmosphere with a wood-burning stove as the centerpiece. Crystal clear water directly from the glaciers of the Lyngenalps is used for refreshment. The terrace and the great view of the fjord give you opportunities to cool off after the sauna. If you're lucky, you can marvel at the northern lights, whales or even eagles.
If you want, you can also go ice bathing. The fjord is only 50 m away and is guaranteed to be cold all year round! The glacier river flows nearby, ensuring a regular supply of ice-cold water.
The sauna is suitable for small individual groups. Whether you're traveling with a motorhome, a day-tripper, a hiker, or a skier.
A sauna is always a great way to unwind, whether before or after an eventful day.
