Day 1: Depart Sapporo at 9:30 AM from Sapporo TV Tower. First, stop at Kyogoku Fuki-dashi Park, one of Japan's top 100 famous waters, where natural spring water filtered through Mount Yotei's volcanic rock for 80 years gushes out at 2 tons per minute. Drink directly from the source.
Next, head to the Lake Toya Observation Deck, offering a panoramic view of the caldera lake, Nakajima Island, and Mount Yotei. Have lunch at a local restaurant in Toya Onsen town.
In the afternoon, arrive in Hakodate to explore the Kanemori Red Brick Warehouse, a historic harborside complex perfect for shopping and souvenir hunting. Enjoy free time for dinner in the bay area.
In the evening, visit the Mount Hakodate Observatory for the world-famous million-dollar night view, one of the top 3 night views in the world. Check in to ENOE Hotel, which includes a welcome drink featuring local sake and wine.
Day 2: Enjoy a buffet breakfast at the hotel with over 70 Japanese and Western dishes, including made-to-order seafood rice bowls. Visit the Hakodate Morning Market, one of Hokkaido's most famous seafood markets.
Then, visit the Old Public Hall of Hakodate Ward (Kyu Hakodate Ku Kokaido), a striking yellow Meiji-era Western-style building built in 1910, once used as an imperial villa. Have lunch at Lucky Pierrot Goryokaku branch, a beloved local burger chain famous for their Chinese Chicken Burger.
In the afternoon, visit Goryokaku Park and Goryokaku Tower — Japan's only Western-style star-shaped fortress, offering stunning aerial views from the observation deck. Depart Hakodate at 2:30 PM, arriving back in Sapporo around 7:00 PM with a rest stop en route.
