Perkara yang anda boleh jangka

Embark on a 2-day journey to discover the two most unique ethnic groups of Vietnam — the Hmong and the Red Dao — through breathtaking landscapes, ancient traditions, and unforgettable local experiences.

DAY 1 — Sapa → Y Linh Ho → Lao Chai → Ta Van
Your journey begins at 9:00 AM, with pickup from Hmong House Sapa or the Stone Church. Leaving Sapa’s lively streets behind, your steps lead into the mountains, where terraced fields ripple across the hillsides like time-etched lines. These terraces are the imprint of the Vietnamese highlanders, shaped by generations of patient hands.

The trail descends toward Y Linh Ho, where clouds drift at eye level over the Hoang Lien Son range. The whisper of streams and the rustle of bamboo weave a pure mountain symphony. Around noon, you rest at a small house overlooking silky layers of rice terraces. A simple Vietnamese lunch made from local ingredients brings a quiet, earthy comfort.

After a short break, the path leads to Lao Chai, a lively H’Mong village where brocade colors glow on skirts and shawls. Each handmade pattern carries stories of mountains, family, and memory. From Lao Chai, the route winds toward Ta Van, home to both H’Mong and Giay people. Along the way, your guide shares traditions, harvest seasons, and everyday tales—turning the trek into a dialogue with Vietnamese culture.

The day ends around 4 PM at Hmong House Homestay, perched above the valley with a sweeping 180-degree view of Muong Hoa. Evening begins with a small cooking class, followed by a cultural gathering where local children from the free English class perform traditional dances and melodies. Music, laughter, and stories of love and mountain fairs fill the night before you fall asleep to the sound of flowing streams.

DAY 2 — Ta Van → Hoang Lien Ancient Forest → Giang Ta Chai → Sapa

Your morning begins with breakfast at 8:30 AM, before setting off at 9:30 AM with a Red Dao guide leading you past terraced fields into a bamboo forest where sunlight spills through drifting leaves. Deeper inside lies the ancient Hoang Lien forest, home to treasured medicinal herbs. This is where the Red Dao preserve their traditional Vietnamese healing knowledge, passed down for countless generations. Your guide reveals how they identify and combine herbs—a practice symbolizing harmony between highland Vietnamese communities and nature.

Around 12:00–1:00 PM, you stop at a small village for a simple local lunch. Here, you may learn about the ancient Dao script, traditional wedding customs, and the deep meaning of the color red in their culture—a symbol of happiness, strength, and enduring good fortune.
The afternoon brings the awaited Red Dao herbal bath, a warm, fragrant healing tradition. After resting at Hmong House, you return to Sapa. The tour ends at 3:30 PM, with the scent of herbs, the sound of bamboo, and the colors of Vietnamese ethnic culture lingering gently—lasting impressions of two days in the mountains of Hoang Lien.
