What you can expect

Day 1: Hanoi – Sapa – Cat Cat Village (Lunch, Dinner)

Your journey begins early with pick-up from your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter or the bus station. Board a comfortable sleeping bus and travel along the modern highway to Lao Cai, enjoying a short break on the way. As you approach Sapa via winding mountain roads, admire breathtaking views of misty valleys and layered rice terraces—one of Northern Vietnam’s most iconic landscapes.

Arrive in Sapa Town around midday, where the cool mountain air and colorful ethnic cultures create a unique atmosphere. Meet local people from H’mong, Dao, and Tay communities, easily recognized by their traditional clothing. Enjoy a welcome drink and lunch at a local restaurant, featuring regional Vietnamese dishes. Afterward, check in at your hotel and take a short rest.

In the afternoon, begin a guided trek to Cat Cat Village, home of the Black H’mong people. Walk along scenic downhill paths surrounded by rice terraces and mountain views, while your guide shares insights into local life, customs, and handicrafts. Continue to the valley bottom to visit Cat Cat Waterfall and the historic French-built Hydraulic Power Station, where you can take photos and enjoy the peaceful natural setting.

After exploring, trek uphill back to Sapa town, passing beautiful viewpoints along the way. The trekking distance is approximately 2.5 km and lasts around 2 hours, suitable for most travelers.
In the evening, enjoy dinner at a local restaurant and free time to explore Sapa town, visit the night market, or relax at your hotel.

Day 2: Fansipan Peak – Hanoi (Breakfast, Lunch)

After breakfast, transfer to the Fansipan Cable Car Station for an unforgettable journey to the highest peak in Indochina. Enjoy a scenic 20-minute cable car ride with panoramic views over the Hoang Lien Son mountain range, lush forests, and floating clouds.

Arrive at an altitude of around 2,800 meters, where you can explore spiritual sites, pagodas, and enjoy the fresh mountain atmosphere. Continue your adventure by climbing approximately 600 steps to reach the summit of Fansipan Peak – “The Roof of Indochina.” Take your time to admire the spectacular views, capture photos, and enjoy a true sense of achievement.

Return to the cable car station and head back to Sapa town. After lunch, check out of the hotel and enjoy a short period of leisure before departure. In the afternoon, board the bus back to Hanoi with comfort breaks along the way.

Arrive in Hanoi in the evening, marking the end of a memorable journey through Sapa’s stunning landscapes, rich culture, and iconic Fansipan peak.
