Meet in the city and head to the forest. This small-group hike takes you up Pico Jaraguá (the highest point in São Paulo) for a 360° view of the metropolis and Serra da Cantareira.

Follow the Trilha do Pai Zé: about 8 km, 360 m elevation gain. The total duration of the tour, including transportation, is approximately 5.5 hours, depending on how fast we hike up and down, whether we spot any wildlife, … (min. 4.5 hrs / max. 6.5 hrs based on my experience)

Meet at Barra Funda train station and ride a short train (it is included in the price), to the park gate. Entry is free; no advance fee. Routes may adjust for weather or maintenance of the park.
