After being picked up by your guide, depart from your hotel in Praia, the airport or the cruise port to discover the wonders of Santiago Island.

After a one-hour drive through mountains, deep valleys and villages in the island's interior, you will arrive at Serra Malagueta and begin your hike at an altitude of 700 meters in the natural park.

After an hour's hike with your guide explaining the park's endemic plants and animals, begin your descent to the Gongon Valley from Antena, with the most beautiful view of the island's east coast.

You will then arrive at the first house of the local residents, where you will have the opportunity to interact with them and see what daily life is like for these resilient people who live on one of the highest points of the island with few resources.

Enjoy your picnic in the midst of nature, in a setting made up of plantations of mango trees, banana trees, sugar cane and yams, as well as typical houses, most of which are abandoned.

At the end of the hike, we will stop at a local restaurant for a cool drink.

You will then drive along the east coast of the island, past cliffs, lava flows and fishing villages.

You will then visit the largest banana and coconut plantation in Santiago.

Finally, you will return to Praia by car, and the day trip will conclude with transport to your accommodation, the airport, or the cruise ships.
