Experience a special encounter with the vibrant culture of the indigenous communities of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta. Your tour will be in Spanish, but we can also do it in English on request. The meeting point is the restaurant at Hotel Taironaka. You can also arrive by boat (for an extra fee) and enjoy the impressive nature. You'll be welcomed with a traditional drink before your indigenous guide personally opens the approximately 45-minute tour.

Together, you'll explore the historic terraces and learn about their spiritual and cultural significance. Then you'll visit the antiquities exhibition, where the history of the region and its indigenous peoples will be explained to you in a lively way. The special finale is a meeting with other members of the community – an authentic encounter that gives you a deep insight into their culture.
