Experience a special encounter with the vibrant culture of the indigenous communities of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta. Your tour is conducted in Spanish, but can also be conducted in English upon request. The meeting point is the restaurant at the Taironaka Eco-Hotel (Don Diego River). You have the option of arriving by boat (at an additional cost), allowing you to enjoy the stunning natural scenery en route. You will be welcomed with a traditional drink before your Indigenous guide personally kicks off the approximately 45-minute tour.

Together, you will explore the historic terraces and learn about their spiritual and cultural significance. Next, you will visit the antiquities exhibition, where the history of the region and its indigenous peoples will be brought to life for you. The tour culminates in a special encounter with other members of the community – an authentic experience that will give you an in-depth insight into their culture.
