What you can expect

Day 1: Sandakan - Kinabatangan River

Start your adventure with a pickup from your hotel in Sandakan, Sandakan airport, or Sepilok area. Make sure to have something to eat before pickup or bring some snacks for the journey as the estimated transfer time to the Kinabatangan River is 2 to 2.5 hours.

Upon arrival, check into your room overlooking the river before embarking on your first river cruise at 4:20 PM. Over the next 2 hours, your guide will be on the lookout for proboscis monkeys, long-tail and pig-tail macaques, silver leaf monkeys, orangutans, pygmy elephants, crocodiles, birds, and more.

After your river cruise, return to the lodge for dinner.

Day 2: Kinabatangan River - Sandakan

Wake up early and join your guide for a dawn river cruise in search of orangutans, hornbills, red leaf monkeys, and more. Return to the lodge for breakfast, then catch your transfer back to Sandakan airport for flights departing from 1:00 PM onwards or hotels in Sepilok or Sandakan.

Please take notes that the above activity for 2D1N Kinabatangan need to pre book early one month before to avoid fully book especially during peak season for July, August, September, December, and Chinese New Year session. Thank you
