El Boquerón is a protected natural area located at the top of San Salvador volcano at 1800 meters above sea level. The main attraction of the park is a crater 1.5 kilometers in diameter and 558 meters deep. The historic downtown of San Salvador comprises the area where the expansion of the capital city of El Salvador began. The notable buildings were built at the end of the 19th century, and at the beginning of the 20th century. Today the historic downtown is a tourist place full
of day and night life.
Itinerary:
- We leave the hotel at 11:00 hours.
- Technical stops (restrooms, snacks).
- Arrival at the Boquerón National Park at 12:00 hours at an altitude of 1800 meters; the tour consists of 15 minutes of climbing up the steps to reach the different viewpoints of the crater of the San Salvador Volcano from where you can also see a small crater called “el boqueroncito”.
- Transport Unit boarding at 13:00 hours.
- Lunch (not included) in a local restaurant at 13:30 hours.
- Boarding of the Transportation Unit at 14:30 hours.
- You will stop by the souvenir store.
- Arrival at historic downtown of San Salvador at 15:30 hours, where we will visit the National Palace, Plaza Morazán, Plaza Gerardo Barrios, Plaza Libertad, Plaza Centroamérica, National Library, Metropolitan Cathedral, other churches and you will see the transition from daylife to nightlife.
- Boarding of the transportation unit at 18:30 hours.
- Return to the hotel at 19:00 hours approximately.
Note: if your pick up location is away from the zone that we established in this product, you will be charge with $15.00. You will pay it to the guide the day of the tour, because of the transportation to other zone.
