What you can expect

Welcome to the best little zoo in the world. The Belize Zoo was started in 1983 to provide a home for a collection of wild animals. This “backyard zoo” has shown thousands of curious visitors the wildlife of Belize and has now formed into a dynamic wildlife education center.
A one hour drive in an air conditioned van from Belize City to the river park a short 30 minute walk to Caves Branch River float on tubes outfitted with life vests and helmets. Safety is the main goal when entering what the Maya believed was the underworld, called Xibalba, “Place of Fear” and it was like their hell, so after the tour you can say you have been to hell and back.
