Your day begins with a comfortable hotel pickup before heading north into the cloud-forest highlands. The first highlight is Poás Volcano National Park, where you’ll stand on the edge of an active crater and gaze into its steaming turquoise lagoon. Cool mountain air and sweeping vistas make this stop a must for nature lovers.
Next, descend into the lush surroundings of La Paz Waterfall Gardens, a unique eco-park where waterfalls thunder through dense greenery. Follow winding paths past butterfly enclosures, hummingbird gardens, and even a wildlife rescue center that protects big cats and jungle species. The sight of cascading falls set against the rainforest backdrop is unforgettable.
On the return journey, pause at Coffee Plantation Stop (Doka Estate or similar), where Costa Rica’s rich coffee culture surrounds you. Rows of coffee plants line the volcanic hillsides, and visitors can step into a café or shop to browse or buy. Please note: this ride stop does not include a guided tour or tasting. Any purchases of coffee or other products are not included in the ride price.
