Discover waterfalls, Maya archaeological sites and the Lacandon Jungle over four days, starting and ending in San Cristóbal de las Casas.
Day 1: Travel from San Cristóbal to Agua Azul and Misol-Ha waterfalls, then visit the archaeological site of Palenque. Stay overnight in a hotel in Palenque.
Day 2: Depart from Palenque for Frontera Corozal and take a boat to Yaxchilán. Continue to Bonampak and spend the night in jungle cabins.
Day 3: Join a guided walk in the Lacandon Jungle to the Mactunina River waterfalls, then return to Palenque.
Day 4: Visit Roberto Barrios waterfalls before the return journey to San Cristóbal de las Casas.
The package includes hotel transportation, park entrance fees, hotel accommodation in Palenque, jungle-cabin accommodation, boat transfer, local Lacandon transportation, insurance while in the vehicle and a guide for the jungle hike. Included meals are 3 breakfasts, 1 lunch and 1 dinner in total. Other meals and tips are not included.
This itinerary combines road and boat journeys with walking at the sites. Bring comfortable clothing and shoes, insect repellent, sunscreen and swimwear.
