Embark on a 4-day expedition along the Río La Venta, a 48-kilometer river that runs through the Ocote Biosphere Reserve. Discover the Sacred Canyon, a place that holds remnants of ancient civilizations on its most inaccessible walls.

Day 1: San Cristobal - Unidad Modelo - La Venta River
Depart from San Cristobal at 5 AM towards the Unidad Modelo village. Descend a 200-meter slope to the river and journey for 6 hours to reach the camping point.

Day 2: La Venta River - Tunnel of La Venta
Today's journey will be 6 hours long. During the trek, portage the equipment at a place known as the “small landslide.” Subsequently, visit the Tunnel of La Venta, a natural arch towering over 400 meters high. Sleep outside the tunnel.

Day 3: La Venta River - The Great Landslide
Portage equipment for approximately 3 hours at a place called “The Great Landslide.” After passing the landslide, navigate for 2 hours to reach the camping point.

Day 4: La Venta River - Malpaso Dam - San Cristobal
Paddle for 4 hours to reach the Malpaso Dam, where a motorboat will pick you up and take you to the Raudales village. Later, travel back to San Cristóbal.
