What you can expect

  • Day 1: Take the ferry from Samaná to Sabana de la Mar (9:00 AM, 11:00 AM, or 3:00 PM; $5 USD cash per way). Meet our team at the port for a transfer to Caño Hondo Hotel. Enjoy afternoon access to the natural spring pools, followed by an authentic Dominican dinner at the restaurant.

    Day 2: Have breakfast at the hotel, then embark on a guided boat tour of Los Haitises National Park to explore mangroves and ancient Taíno cave carvings (Cueva de la Línea). Return to the hotel to check out, followed by a transfer back to the port for your return ferry to Samaná (1:00 PM, 3:00 PM, or 5:00 PM; $5 USD cash per way).
