This is how family canyoning in the Almbachklamm works:
We meet right at the Almbachklamm parking lot. This saves you time – no base camp, no extra stop. Your guide Paul will come by bus (mobile base) and bring all the gear. You change on site: You will be given a high-quality wetsuit, neoprene socks, a helmet and a harness; if necessary, rental shoes as well (athletic shoes free of charge or professional canyoning shoes for a small fee).
Before we start, there's a safety briefing. Don't worry: You will also be guided step by step during the tour – for example, on how to make a jump work properly. There is no long ascent; we are in the water practically immediately. Perfect for kids aged 9 and up and anyone who doesn't feel like a long hike.
In the gorge, you can expect emerald pools, waterfalls, natural slides, and – if you like – optional jumps up to about 8 m. Everything is voluntary; there are always alternative routes. Your guide will adapt the route and pace to your level, and the small group allows for breaks, questions and favorite spots that you can also do twice.
The canyoning tour lasts about 3 hours, of which about 2 hours are action in the water. The start and end are at the same point – change quickly, and you can continue enjoying your day right away. Add-on: Photo and video souvenirs are included and will be sent to you on the same day via a WeTransfer link.
