Stroll down the Getreidegasse to visit the birthplace of Mozart before passing through the gardens of Mirabell Palace, famous as the filming location for “The Sound of Music” (the gardens are where Maria and the Von Trapp children sang “Do-Re-Mi”). From this vantage point, you can enjoy a breathtaking view over the imposing Hohensalzburg Fortress, one of Europe’s largest castles.
