The Train Cemetery is an abandoned train site. It is located southwest of the city of Uyuni, a few kilometers from the city center, and is said to be the largest railway cemetery in the world. There are a total of around 100 locomotives and carriages in the railway cemetery, the oldest of which date from the late 19th century. Giant cacti up to 10 m high are found on Incahuasi Island. This island is the largest of the set of islets located in the center of the Uyuni salt flat. The island operates a tourist reception centre belonging to the commonwealth of municipalities of Llica and Tahua, in whose territory the island is located.
