Phinisi is a traditional wooden boat originating from Makassar, South Sulawesi. Recognized as a historical heritage by UNESCO, it was first constructed in the 14th century by Prince Sawerigading of the Luwu Kingdom. The boat was crafted from the durable wood of the Devata tree. Historical records indicate that the local residents of Ara, Tana Beru, and Lemo Lemo assisted Prince Sawerigading in enlarging his vessel. This wooden boat was named Phinisi, meaning “A boat that is strong against the waves.”

In an effort to preserve this national historical heritage, we build boats in the authentic phinisi yacht style for a variety of events, including dinner cruises, boat parties, weddings, meetings, and gatherings. These events can be booked individually, shared in groups, or privately chartered.
