Discover one of the nicest castles in France! The Château Amboise will charm you with its lovely interior, amazing views of the Loire Valley, and beautiful gardens.

Learn about the history of the castle and its owners from your private guide. Built in the 11th century, it took on its current shape and late Gothic/early Renaissance style during the reign of King Charles VII. Today' glory of the castle is connected especially to the King Francois I, who invited Leonardo da Vinci to live in the nearby castle Clos Lucé. The famous Italian painter is claimed to be buried in the Saint-Hubert Chapel next to the castle of Amboise.
