Experience an entertaining family-friendly hike at Kourouma Canyon, full of natural slides and majestic frozen waterfalls. Learn about local nature, survival skills, and other cultural information. Enjoy a Lappish barbecue and fire-making experience.
Be picked up from the location specified in your reservation. After welcoming you, we will head to Kourouma Natural Reserve, making small stops along the way if needed. Get to know more about the magnificent frozen waterfalls and the Korouma canyon cultural information. Also, receive information about the history and cultural elements of Finland, Rovaniemi, and the Sámi people.
Begin your adventure in the magnificent winter forest, where you'll walk and enjoy nature, take photographs (professional pictures included), play in the snow, chat, relax, and learn about the local wildlife. The hike is around 3.5km long till the barbacue.
After the walk, stop at a fireplace where you'll be shown how to make a fire step by step, including using flint and steel. Then, have a delicious Lappish lunch with hot drinks and dessert. Once you're full and your energy is restored, return to the parking area by walking 1.5km back, enjoying the scenery or relaxing, as you wish.
