What you can expect

Pass by hectares of kiwifruit orchards, small kiwi towns and beautiful lakes and waterfalls, as we drive you in our comfortable Mercedes van to the nearby town of Rotorua. See and learn about the real New Zealand, as we explore the hinterland in a small group.

Begin your day with a visit to beautiful Blue Lake and then the iconic Lake Tarawera. See ancient Maori rock drawings, and learn about the history of the world-famous Pink and White Terraces and the Tarawera eruption. Enjoy a swim, or just chill out at the cafe by the lake.

Next, head to the stunning Secret Spot Hot Tubs and enjoy a relaxed lunch stop. Relax with a foot spa for free, or opt for a private hot tub deep in the forest. Alternatively, opt for a private cold plunge and sauna experience. These private options incur an extra charge ($45A/$17C).

To round out your relaxing day in the hinterland, head to the famous Redwoods Forest. Enjoy a relaxed ground walk through the forest, or opt to traverse the swing bridges and walkways high in the forest, and learn about this unique ecosystem. Breathe in the cool and clean air high up in the forest, and look out for native birdlife as you explore the many walkways and bridges. Treetops option $42A/$$26C.

Enjoy local snacks and cold drinks along the way.

We return to Tauranga with plenty of time to meet your ship.
