    • Mount Maunganui 3116, New Zealand | We will be standing in front of the flagpole just outside the Cruise Port Exit. We will have a sign with "A Day in the Bay" and your name on it. When you step off the ship, turn left and walk 50M , then out the port gates. When outside the gates, look to your right and you will see the flagpole. Please try to be there 10 mins prior to the trip leaving Our tours are all tailored for cruise passengers, and we will meet you at the port. We time our trips to fit your docking time, and will have you back with plenty of time to spare. We provide a fully guided small group experience and use only luxury Mercedes Vans with panoramic windows.

After a quick but informative city tour, we head away from the hustle bustle, through prime kiwifruit country and huge forestry plantations, into the lakes district and towards the volcanic plateau. See the stunning Lake Rotoiti and Blue Lake, then arrive at the iconic Lake Tarawera. Enjoy the awesome view of the still active volcano that is Mount Tarawera, see ancient Māori rock paintings, and learn about the history of the world famous Pink and White Terraces and the Tarawera eruption. Enjoy a quick swim, or just relax at the cafe by the lake. Make sure you take your camera, as this is a truly spectacular location.

Next we visit the stunning Secret Spot Hot Tubs and enjoy a relaxed lunch stop. Simply grab a bite and a drink and soak your feet, explore the grounds, or book your own private Hot Tub experience.

After lunch, we head into the famous Redwoods Forest. Go for a relaxing walk on the forest floor, or opt to do the wonderful Treetop Canopy Walk; Traverse the swing bridges and walkways high in the forest, and learn about this unique ecosystem. Breathe in the cool and clean air high up in the forest as you explore the many walkways and bridges. This is an outstanding activity, and one of our absolute favourites in the region.

On our way home, we visit the tallest commercially rafted waterfall in the world! We usually get to see the rafters and kayakers shooting down the falls, but even if not, the falls are a stunning sight to see. Depending on time and fitness levels, there are different walking distance options: 1 minute (view the top of the falls), 12 minutes each way (best viewing area), 15 Minutes each way (includes the etherial Hinemoa's steps and the bottom of the falls. What a way to wind up your day in nature!

Entry to the lakes, falls, the Redwood Forest Park and the Secret Spot Foot Spas is included.

If you wish to experience the amazing Treetop Walk and/or the private Forest Spa session, payment will be collected on the day. We definitely recommend you take the opportunity to partake in these exceptional experiences, however you are welcome to just take the free options too.
