We continue our journey to Rothenburg ob der Tauber, one of the best-preserved medieval towns in Germany. On a walking tour through the picturesque alleyways you will come to see the old frameworked houses and the “Plönlein”, the landmark of Rothenburg. On over cobblestoned streets alongside the beautifully decorated townhouses of the old center, along the Herren-Alley to the mighty city gates and alongside the accessible citywall. On to the central marketplace with its mighty Renaissance town hall, and St. Jacobs Church to see the altar of Tilman Riemenschneider, one of the most outstanding artists of the Middle Ages.
