Take a drive on the Romantic Road, through beautiful countryside and past charming villages. See the majestic Harburg Castle perched on the hillside. Meander through Rothenburg's cobbled streets and learn about beer brewing in a local hops growing area on your way back to Munich.

Set off down a stretch of the Romantic Road, an old trade route through southern Germany, passing many chocolate-box towns and castles. Admire communities that strike you as quintessentially German as you continue traveling toward Harburg Castle. Gaze out over the surrounding area before your optional tour of the Medieval ramparts.

Continue through a region remarkably undamaged by war to Rothenburg. Wander the quaint streets, observing historical buildings and learning of the town's extensive use by movie makers over the last 50 years. Journey back through Hallertau, widely regarded as the largest area for hop plant growth in the world. Quiz your knowledgeable guide on the finer points of brewing as you work up a thirst.
