We will take you to:

Piazza Navona, the driver will talk about it’s history and architecture, Bernini’s masterpieces, and the beautiful church Sant’ Agnese in Agone.

• We will stop near the Pantheon, your guide will describe the amazing engineereing that made it possible, and the story of this incredible building, that now is the church “Santa Maria ad Martyres”. See it from outside. Entering requires tickets (5 euros per person) and there is a line.

• Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore. This Basilica will certainly be an important part of your cultural and spiritual experience in Rome. It hosts one of the holy doors that will be opened during the holy year. You will have the opportunity of walking through it. Please remember that in order to enter holy places, both shoulders and knees must be covered.

• The Scala Santa, or Holy Stairs, is an important pilgrimage site located near the Basilica of San Giovanni in Laterano in Rome. Composed of 28 marble steps, it is believed that they were brought from Jerusalem and represent the steps Jesus ascended to appear before Pontius Pilate. Devotees climb the steps on their knees as an act of devotion, with each step offering an opportunity for reflection and prayer. The Scala Santa is also adorned with frescoes and decorations that highlight Christian history, making it a place of significant spiritual and cultural importance. Entrance costs 4 euros per person, there is a line.

• Basilica di San Giovanni in Laterano, officially known as the Archbasilica of St. John Lateran, is the oldest and highest-ranking basilica in Rome, serving as the ecclesiastical seat of the Pope. Founded in the 4th century, it features stunning Baroque architecture, with a grand facade and an impressive interior adorned with magnificent frescoes and sculptures. The basilica is home to significant religious relics, including the altar containing the remains of St. John the Baptist. As the Cathedral of Rome, it symbolizes the unity of the Catholic Church and attracts numerous pilgrims and tourists each year for its historical and spiritual significance.
