From Vienna City Center "Wien Mitte - Landstraße" take the Line S7 in the direction of Wolfsthal. Get off at the Petronell-Carnuntum station. After a short walk of 15 minutes (follow the signs), you reach the Roman City Carnuntum. From Vienna by car, take the A4 (in direction of Budapest/airport) - exit Fischamend/Bratislava B9 (Pressburger Bundesstraße, Richtung Hainburg a.d. Donau) to Petronell-Carnuntum or Bad Deutsch-Altenburg. From Bratislava by car take the B9 (Pressburger Bundesstraße) in direction of Vienna to to Petronell-Carnuntum or Bad Deutsch Altenburg .

The Amphitheatre in the Military City is currently closed for renovation. However, you can visit the Heathen's Gate and the nearby Amphitheatre of the Civil City instead.
