The K2 climbing route on Corcovado is among Brazil's 50 classic routes and undoubtedly one of the most beautiful routes in Rio de Janeiro.
Our experience starts at the meeting point at the Paineiras Visitor Center, located within Tijuca National Park. You can get here by public or private transportation, including van, cable car, taxi, or Uber. Our team will help you choose the best mode of transportation.
From the meeting point, we will begin the approximately 30-minute walk along the Corcovado road to the access trail leading to the start of the climb. Upon arriving at the start of the climb, our guides will provide gear and safety instructions.
The climbing route is 150 meters (492 feet) long and will be divided into 6 sections. Starting with a dihedral, the route continues through sections requiring footing and handholds, making for a highly varied climb.
As you climb, the scenery unfolds, revealing Sugarloaf Mountain, Two Brothers (Morro Dois Irm ãos), and the South Zone coastline—truly picture-perfect views at every stop.
After the final climbing section, we will ascend a short trail to reach the foot of the Christ the Redeemer statue, where you will enjoy a panoramic view of Rio de Janeiro.
We will descend to the meeting point by van.
A complete, safe, and unforgettable adventure. Perfect for those who already climb and want to experience climbing Corcovado in a unique, unconventional way.
