Anyone who thought that the lively alpacas can only be spotted in the mountains of Central and South America was way off the mark. We make it possible. Just a half-hour drive from the center of Vienna, in the southern Weinviertel, you have the opportunity to hike through the forests and meadows of the Lower Austria region with a fluffy companion “on a leash.” We offer two different alpaca and llama tours. (Except on Mondays, there is only one hike per day). The shorter tour is very suitable for getting to know the alpacas and is just right for young children or older people. (Can only be booked on weekdays) The longer tour is more for adventurers. We visit the Hochleitenwald and take a longer break there with places to sit and time for photos with the animals. After that, we go up and down through the forest. (This hiking route is not very suitable for strollers, but the one-hour route is.) There are several breaks on both hikes, especially for photos and information. Since we have to adapt to the seasons, the hikes always take place at a different time.
