Set sail for an adventurous and fast-paced tour to see the whales in Faxaflói Bay! Departing from Reykjavík's Old Harbour, this high-speed RIB tour will take you out to get up close and personal with the magnificent whales in the bay. Our 12 meter long RIB boat allows us to get very close to the animals in a way that is extra safe for both our passengers and the whales.

When we sail out to the feeding grounds, it's a fast, thrilling ride - we have a comfortable cruising speed of 32 knots which gives us plenty of time to get to the whales while taking in the beautiful scenery around us. On the way out to the feeding grounds during the summer months, we will stop by the puffin islands to catch a glimpse of these famous birds during their nesting season. As we return to the harbour we take a scenic route along Reykjavík's beautiful coastline, a perfect photo opportunity!

Our RIB boat was custom built in the UK and has been equipped with suspension seating, or “shock seats”, for extra safety and comfort while on board. These shock seats are scientifically proven to provide a more cushioned ride than any other type of seats, meaning a much more comfortable ride than with other companies’ RIBs with stationary seats, even in choppier seas.

We provide every passenger with warm floatation suits, life vests, gloves and goggles. There is also an expert, experienced guide on every tour who will provide detailed information about the marine life and the bay in English. Make sure you remember your camera!

A ticket to the Whales of Iceland Exhibition is included in this tour, so we highly recommend visiting the exhibition before or after your tour.
