What you can expect

In the “Fouqué enclosure”, we will walk through the lava flows to discover the hidden wonders of this exceptional site.

First, we will hike down into the “Enclos Fouqué” from the “Pas de Bellecombe”.
Theire, we'll walk on the martian lava surface, and walk through fresh “gratons” lava flows
Going out of the track will make us discover wonderful volcanic constructions : cones and craters from 2019 and 2020 eruptions.
Then, we will climb up to the “Dolomieu” and “Bory” main craters, to enjoy their stunning overview.

In the event of an eruption, the enclosure is closed by prefectural decree; Our specialists will then offer you an off-trail route in the “plaine des Sables” to see the eruption in progress or to discover past eruptions and the history of the volcano.

Note : We strongly recommend to use hiking poles.
