There is something immediate about working with clay. The moment your hands press into the material — still cool, still soft — the mind follows. The studio near Padenghe sul Garda is a calm, creative space where that process begins simply: with earth, water, and a willingness to shape something from nothing. Over two hours, you will learn to knead, prepare, and model clay using a range of hand-building techniques, guided through each stage at a relaxed pace. No previous experience is needed — the focus is on touch, on form, and on the slow satisfaction of making something entirely your own. Once your piece is formed, you will choose the glazes and colours for the finishing. The studio takes care of the rest after your visit: a first firing at 980°, glazing, and a second firing using the Raku method — an ancient Japanese technique where smoke and flame leave marks that cannot be planned or repeated. Your finished piece will be shipped to your address, or collected in person if you are based locally. Firing, glazing and shipping are arranged directly with the studio and involve an extra cost.
