We will pick you up directly from your hotel in Punta Arenas (urban zone) or from a meeting point near the cruise port. From there, we'll begin a journey through the history and culture of the southernmost city on the continent. Your first stop will be Plaza Muñoz Gamero, surrounded by elegant mansions and the cathedral, icons of the Golden Age of trade in the Strait of Magellan. We'll visit the Braun-Menéndez Palace, now the Regional Museum, which houses treasures of local history.
We'll then go up to the Cerro de la Cruz vantage point to enjoy unique panoramic views of the city, the Strait, and, on clear days, as far as Tierra del Fuego. We'll continue to the Sara Braun Cemetery, recognized as one of the ten most beautiful in the world for its architecture and gardens. You'll also see the Monumento al Ovejero and the Museo Salesiano Maggiorino Borgatello (admission ticket not included), with its valuable natural and ethnographic collection.
To finish, we'll tour the waterfront with its landmark monuments: the Goleta Ancud, the Piloto Pardo, and the sculpture honoring the 500th anniversary of the discovery of the Strait.
Duration: approximately 3 hours.
