Itinerary

DAY 1 - Puno - Patahuasi - Salinas and Aguada Blanca Reserve - Patapamapa Volcano Viewpoint - Chivay

  • 6:00 AM. We will pick you up from your respective hotels in the city of Puno to go to the town of Chivay.
  • We will make stops on the route and our guide will explain each place.
  • You will also be able to appreciate South American camelids such as vicuñas, llamas and alpacas.
  • We stopped at Pata Pampa (“El Mirador de los Andes”), the highest part of the route at 4,800 meters above sea level.
  • We arrived in Chivay at approximately 1:00 pm
  • Hotel accommodation.
  • In the afternoon - Visit to the thermal baths (optional, on behalf of the traveler).
  • Overnight in Chivay.

DAY 2 - Chivay - Traditional villages - Viewpoints - Cruz del Cóndor - Colca Canyon

  • 6:00 AM. Breakfast
  • Then we go to the viewpoint of the Cruz del Cóndor where we will stay for a period of approximately 1 hour.
  • From here you can see in its greatest dimension the depth of the Colca Canyon and also the majestic flight of the Condor at a short distance.
  • On the return we will observe archaeological remains, Inca agricultural terraces, pre Inca and other panoramic views of the Colca Canyon.
  • We will pass through the towns of Pinchollo, Maca, Achoma and Yanque, where we will make stops to observe its church, artisan center, the typical clothing of its inhabitants, among others.
  • Return to Chivay.
  • Free time for lunch.
  • Departure to the city of Arequipa.
  • 5:00 pm - Arrival in Arequipa (approximate time).
  • End of the tour in the historic center in the main square.
