What you can expect
Day 1:
Reception at the airport or land terminal and transfer to the captaincy where we will take the boat for an hour, to our hostel - Welcome meeting, with a refreshing zest made from fruits from our region. Installation in our respective homes.
After breakfast, we will visit the “island of monos”, located in front of our Albergue crossing the Madre de Dios river where we will find different species such as the family of capuchin monos that live on the island and we will return to the Albergue.
At night we will go in search of white caimans that are generally found on the banks of the Madre de Dios river arena, for which we will need to take a flashlight. We can also see the capibara, the largest rodent in the world that can weigh 60 kilos, return to the hostel, scene and rest.
Day 2:
After this challenge we will walk 3 km. In the middle of the dense tropical jungle and we will head to Lake Sandoval (piran habitat), one of the largest in the Tambopata National Reserve and we will ride in a rowing boat where we will enjoy a wide variety of birds and birds of different species (shansho, cormorán, jacanas, heron puma, zopilotes, cotomono, mono fraile, black machín, pichicos y perezosos). We may have an encounter with the family of giant nutrias (some meters wide) that is in danger of extinction and the largest caimans recorded more than 4 meters wide, return to the Lodge to enjoy their typical lunch.
In the afternoon after the lunch we will take a short walk along the Canopy Walk-Way, more than 30 meters high, which will allow us to appreciate the nature from the highest possible level, we will also have a panoramic view of the Madre de Dios River. From the platforms we will observe different species of birds such as toucans, guacamayos, tangaras, orioles, it will be a wonderful experience.
At night we will provide a walkway where we can appreciate the diversity of species of insects, amphibians, reptiles and other nocturnal animals. - scene and rest
Day 3:
Very early in the morning we will take the boat to visit the mountain range, a wall of earth (arcilla) on one side of the Madre de Dios river, where different Bajan species eat this special and indispensable clay needed for their metabolism. Desayuno and return to the city.
