Overview

A private driver will pick you up directly from your hotel in an air-conditioned vehicle. During the scenic drive south, you can relax and admire the landscapes of Campania.
Upon arrival, you will be accompanied DA an expert Archaeological Guide to discover the city buried by the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD.C. Walk through the perfectly preserved ruins of temples, houses, theaters and cobbled streets, immersing yourself in the daily life of ancient Rome. The visit takes about 2 hours.
After a lunch break in a typical restaurant you will continue to the Vesuvius National Park. Here you can climb to the crater rim (on foot, about 20 - 30 minutes) and take a DA closer look at one of the most famous active volcanoes in the world. A Volcanological Guide will be available to explain the geological phenomena and history of eruptions.
After an exciting day, your driver will drop you off in Rome, arriving in the early evening.
