This is the most popular section of the gorge, and visitors can take the Swallow Grotto (Yanzikou) Trail from Swallow Grotto (Yanzikou) to Jinheng Bridge, enjoying views of the gorge, potholes in the rock, springs, and the "Chieftain Profile Rock".

Baiyang Trail

More than a hike, the Baiyang Trail is just a short walk of only 2.1 Km, the path is all flat and not challenging at all. Tunnel of Nine Turns Trail

The Tunnel of Nine Turns (Jiuqudong) is considered one of the most scenic sections of Taroko Gorge. The number nine in Chinese—implying "many"—is heavily used in the Chinese language. The trail itself is 700 m one-way in length, and visitors enter and exit from the West entrance. The Tunnel of Nine Turns meanders high along the mountains, where visitors can experience an impressive view of the Liwu River from an imposing height. Here, the narrow Gorge with its steep sides close to each other presents a thrilling, majestic landscape.

Eternal Spring Shrine

Eternal Spring Shrine, also called Changchun Shrine, is a landmark and a memorial shrine complex in Taroko National Park in Xiulin Township, Hualien County, Taiwan.
