What you can expect

Day 1:
Train Cemetery - Korcani - Hotel Sal - Incavasi Island

The tour begins with a visit to the train cemetery to see the old locomotives. Then we will head to the community of Kolčani (gateway to the Salar), where we will discover rustic handicraft workshops and rustic micro-processing of table salt. To continue exploring the majestic Salar de Uyuni, we will stop to visit the salt mines, the Ojo de los Salares and the Playa Blanca Salt Hotel (now used only as a museum). Then we will visit the most popular island of the Salar, Inkawahi Island, located in the middle of the Salar, where we will admire the vast expanses of cactus, marine rock fossils and enjoy a spectacular 360-degree view from the lookout . After the tour, we head to Sala Hut to rest.

Day 2:
Aulago Volcano Observation Deck - High Mountain Lagoon - Silori Desert - Stone Trees - Red Lagoon

The day starts with breakfast in Salthuset. We head to the Aulague Volcano viewpoint to admire the volcanic desert landscape and the rare high Andean vegetation. Then we visit Laguna Chiarkota, Laguna Hedionda (named after the smell of sulfur), Laguna Onda, Laguna Ramaditas. These lagoons are surrounded by flamingos that use them as feeding and resting places during migration, and we enjoy lunch on the way. We then head to the Silor desert, where there are stone trees (strange rock formations). We continued to Colorado Lake where the red color was incredible. We continue to the village of Huayllajara, where we have dinner and spend the night in a family house of the community.

Day 3:
Fumarola - Polques Terme - Laguna Verde - Valle de las Rocas - San Cristobal - Uyuni
The day begins with breakfast before heading to the fumaroles and fissures in the ground where volcanic lava and sulfurous gases reside. On the way we reach the hot springs (the water is good for treating gout), where you can bathe and relax, the water temperature is between 25 and 32°C. We continue the second tour through the Salvador Dali desert with great panoramic views similar to desert landscapes. Then we arrive at the green lagoon (the high mineral content gives it its characteristic color) at the foot of the Licancabur volcano (5916 meters above sea level). Then we head to the city of Uyuni to visit Villa Mar, the Valley of the Rocks, the town of San Cristobal and its stone church, and finally we continue finishing our tour in the city of Uyuni. Optional transfer to San Pedro de Atacama: After visiting Laguna Verde, transfer to Hito Cajones on the Chile-Bolivia border and then take a shared excursion to San Pedro de Atacama (pick up and drop off at additional cost).
