We will meet at the Santander Tourist Information Office to visit our first point of interest, the Pereda Gardens, located near the city's new urban development areas, where we will see the former Banco de Santander building and the old shipping company buildings.

In this area, we will discuss the historical significance of the great fire that devastated Santander and then continue with a tour of the exterior and interior of the Cathedral of Santa María de la Asunción, the capital's most important religious building, which features a Gothic structure.

On this tour, we cannot fail to visit Plaza del Ayuntamiento and Plaza Porticada, the former venue for the Santander International Festival, as well as pass by La Compañia Church and explore the Mercado del Este, the city's culinary hub.

At the end of the tour, we will return to the Pereda Gardens to visit the Centro Botín, the city's most important cultural and art institution and an international benchmark. There, we will take a guided tour of the permanent collection, which includes works by notable artists such as Sorolla, Matisse, Juan Gris, and Gutiérrez Solana, among others. We will then move on to the rooms housing the temporary exhibitions, where we will leave you to continue enjoying this magnificent museum on your own.
