What you can expect

  • Jeju is a sort of Korean Corsica, or mix of Sicily and Brittany: a volcanic island, around a majestic volcano, the highest mountain in Korea, but also an island in the South, tropical with palm trees. It is also said to be run by women, the “haenyos”, because it is they who dive to bring back the particular richness of the island, its seafood which can only be picked by hand. These women are becoming rare, they are aging, but there are still authentic places to find them.
We offer this tour by car, the only way to discover the small beaches, village streets, forest and other marvels hidden in the island.
The tour is not the same depending on whether your hotel is in Jeju-city, in the North, or towards Seogwipo, in the South, your taste and what you expect from the tour, the time you stay in Jeju, what you may have already seen, and also the weather, which changes very quickly in Jeju because of the wind. We often need to choose between go East or West of the island.
Here is an example of what we can visit, if we start from Seogwipo, going East :

    • Jeongbqng fqlls, that falls directly in the sea.
    • Seongeup Traditionnal village, one of the most impressive in Korea with its fortress around, still habited.
    • Southside road very close to the beach. We may see some “haenyos” fishing.
    • Seongsan Ilchulbonog, a volcano in the sea looking like an island, iconic place of Jeju, Unesco World natural heritage.
    • Glass house, one of the most impressive cafe ever built, by the famous architect Tadao Ando, with a view on all the seaside.
    • Yongnuni Oreum, one of the most impressive hill that was a former volcano.
    • Bijarim, or the “Secret forest”, one of the most iconic among the numerous forests of Jeju.
    • Jeju Batdam Stone Park, a small park dedicated to the volcanic black stones used all over the island
    • Manjanggul, a huge cave made of lava tube, also a Unesco world natural heritage (reopened since mid 2026).
    • Kimnyeong, a typical harbor less touristic than others, where we can show a very hidden place unknown from even many locals, that have no address : a shamanic temple under the trees within the fields.
    • A shamanic autel by the sea, made of a strange stone, a famous cultural relic.
    • Hamdeok beach, one of the most iconic and touristic one of the island.
    • Oedolgae, strange rock in the middle of the sea, best when seen at the sunset.
      Going to the West :
    • Jeonjiyeon falls, another fall that goes directly to the sea, hidden in the city.
    • Yongmori beach and cliff, somptuous rock forms seen from the sea level. Not opened when the tide is too high.
    • Banju church, unique church built by the famous architect Jun Itami.
    • Camellia Hill, a park dedicated to all kind of camellia flowers
    • Osulloc Tea fields, where come the green tea from Jeju.
    • Spirited Garden, unique garden made of bonzaïs, some of them being hundreds years old.
    • Songaksan, one of the small mountain along the beach, beautiful place to sea the sunset.
