Get picked up from your hotel or the airport and travel to Zócalo, the city's central square and the ruins of an important Aztec temple—destroyed by the Spanish to build a cathedral, itself the oldest in Latin America. Marvel at incredible frescoes by Diego Rivera, reflecting a deep love and understanding of Mexican heritage.

Walk along Paseo de la Reforma, a wide avenue that cuts through the heart of the city, and admire the many monuments and statues, including the Angel of the Independence. Arrive at Chapultepec Castle, on the hill of the same name, meaning “hill of the grasshoppers” in the original Nahuatl.
