Unfortunately, local tour companies like Bacalar Experiences cannot offer pickup services or have representatives within the port. To join our excursions, you’ll need to exit the complex and meet us just outside the port area. Starting from our designated meeting point outside the port complex, Bacalar Experiences tours offer a fantastic experience. After your excursion, we’ll ensure you’re safely returned to the main gate of the port complex. To locate us, refer to the detailed instructions, Google map link, and image map provided in your excursion’s email confirmation. 1. Disembark and walk to the terminal building, heading to the entrance arch. 2. Walk past the shops toward the street exit, passing under the tower for the quickest way out. 3. After crossing port security, you’ll find our company representative.

What you can expect

Pick up at Costa Maya

Travel to Chacchoben - 50 minutes
You’ll step aboard our air conditioned vehicle that will take you to the ancient mayan city of Chacchoben.
Chacchoben Mayan Ruins Tour - 1 hour 30 minutes
Uncover the mysteries of the ancient mayans as you walk through the buildings and structures of Chacchoben. Weave through the winding natural paths and experience the grandeur of this exciting archaeological site. We’ll visit: Templo 24, Plaza B, Gran Plaza, Gran Basamento, Los Gemelos, Las Vasijas and Temple One. During this excursion you will also have the possibility of learning about local plants and seeing some species of local fauna including birds and spider monkeys.
Back to Costa Maya - 1 hour
Finally we will take you back to port Costa Maya on time to board your ship.
