The square is famous for the Fountain of the Four Rivers designed by Gian Lorenzo Bernini, representing four great rivers of the world. In front of it stands the church of Sant’Agnese in Agone. Campo de’ Fiori is one of the most authentic squares in Rome. During the day it hosts a lively market with flowers, spices, fruits and local products. In the center stands the statue of Giordano Bruno, the philosopher who was executed here in 1600. We will reach St. Peter’s Square, the heart of Vatican City, the smallest independent state in the world.
