Get to know the lesser-known side of Crete with a guided tour of the Lasithi Plateau, Zeus’s birthplace , Old Wind Mills , Olive Oil Factory, Knossos Palace and enjoy lunch at a family restaurant up on the mountain.

Explore a few old traditional villages where time seems to have stopped long ago , visit an an olive oil factory to learn about olive oil making, explore the Old Wind Mills, visit Lasithi Plateau, the biggest plateau in Crete located at an altitude around 900 meters above sea level.
We start at an olive oil factory in Malia where we learn all about olive oil making ( THE CRETAN GOLDEN LIQUID) and taste a few different local olive oils of course.
Step into history and walk through the old narrow streets of the old traditional villages of Mochos and enjoy a drink at the main square of the village.

Next we visit the picturesque village of Krasi where the oldest plane tree in Crete is located, estimated older than 2000 years old .Visit old windmills that were used for corn and wheat production grinding as well as others that were used to pump water up to water the crops. Explore the area where Zeus the king of the Greek Goods was born.
After looking everywhere for Zeus it’s time to enjoy lunch at the family restaurant.

Now we are ready to dive into the Minoan civilization and visit Crete's most important archeological site the Knossos Palace and explore it on your own or hire a private guide.
It’s time to hit the road and go back to where we started.
