What you can expect
Deep in the heart of Lombok Island, discover stunning natural landscapes and meet locals in rural villages who live in a traditional way. Visit 2 beautiful waterfalls, Benang Kelambu and Benang Stokel, and enjoy relaxed treks through some of the islands diverse tropical vegetation.
Drive out to Karang Bayan, a village of the Sasak tribe, and see locals still living by traditional methods and customs that have been honored for generations. In nearby Suranadi, trek into the woods to discover an ancient forest with monkeys swinging noisily and playfully through the trees. Before lunch there's time to admire the rice paddies at Sedau. This terraced farmland is an impressive sight.
After your meal, you're ready to tackle the trails to the waterfalls. While the pace is easy and steady, some uphill walking is required to get to certain vantage points. Located close to one another, both the Benang Kelambu and Benang Stokel falls are surrounded by lush green vegetation. With so much moss and other plants lining the cliff faces of these falls, it appears as though local flora is cascading alongside the water. Take a moment to relax in the tranquil surroundings, absorbing the sounds of the forest before your return journey.
